OpenIDEO Vienna Chapter

Community-driven impact through human centered design.

What is OpenIDEO?

OpenIDEO is a network of local communities using design thinking to drive social impact around the world. The movement started in Singapore, New York, Palo Alto and Barcelona in 2013, and was sparked by a question from our community: why aren't we leveraging the power of face-to-face connection?

Since then 40+ cities across the world have joined the global community. Members meet up locally to contribute to online challenges, flex design thinking muscles, and participate in workshops to launch social impact projects.

Who is OpenIDEO Vienna Chapter?

The OpenIDEO Vienna Chapter is a group of changemakers that creates positive impact through human centered design. As part of the global OpenIDEO network we contribute to the global impact-through-design movement.

Whether partnering up with and supporting local initiatives or starting our own, the OpenIDEO Vienna Chapter brings together curious minds to build, organize, teach and design the change we want to see.

We are just about to start so please send us a message if you feel you can support us or join and volunteer some time.

Our mission

We create real impact and positive change through human centered design.

Our purpose

We volunteer to design solutions for the challenges our world is facing.

We believe in the OpenIDEO mission and formed this chapter to contribute to their global cause, while creating positive impact in our community.

We partner up with social organizations and support them by sharing human centered design skills.

We raise awareness for topics and educate others to drive change through design.

We shape communities of action and inspire future changemakers.

We learn from each other and our partner groups, while inspiring others to do the same.
